Behaviour Consultations

Behaviour consultations are available for families with dogs who need additional support

Behaviour consultations are available for families with dogs who need additional support working through more complex behaviours driven by the emotional state of the dog. If you are experiencing issues such as: leash reactivity, resource guarding, fear issues, expressions of aggression, predatory issues, or environmental anxieties, this would be the first step in addressing those issues.

Any bite history must be disclosed prior to booking, and dogs who present as a bite risk will be required to be muzzled.

What to bring to your Behaviour Consultations:

  • Flat collar
  • Well fitted harness with back and front clip and handle (optional but encouraged)
  • Standard 6′ leash (no retractable or chain leads please)
  • Muzzle if required
  • More tiny, high value treats than you anticipate needing (the size of a pinky fingernail for small dogs and the size of a thumb nail for larger dogs

Separation anxiety and child directed aggression will be referred out to certified canine behaviourists who specialize in those cases.
