Dreamland Pet Nail Trimming Policy and Agreement
Dog Health Agreement: The Client ensures that their dog has been seen by a qualified veterinarian on the recommended schedule and that their dog is healthy and up to date on all vaccinations and preventative care deemed required by their veterinarian.
The Client will not attend any Dreamland Pet services with a dog who is ill, injured or who is suspected of being ill or injured in any way. Any illness, injuries or suspected conditions that their dog may be experiencing or have been exposed to must be immediately disclosed. This includes but is not limited to lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, lack of appetite, fever or dehydration.
Duty to Disclose: The Client will disclose and continue to disclose on an ongoing basis any and all medical, behavioural or other conditions or personality changes that may affect, limit or prevent the pet’s ability to have its nails trimmed at Dreamland Pet.
Right to Refuse Service: Dreamland Pet reserves the right to refuse service, or to stop service in progress, if your pet may pose a threat to themselves, other pets or the individual providing the service to your pet; whether it is an aggression problem, health problem or parasite problem.
Client Responsibility: The Client agrees to be solely responsible and liable for any and all acts of behavior of their pet. This may include, but is not limited to injury or death to pet, injury or death to other pet(s), or injury or death to any individual providing services in Dreamland Pet or other member of the public in Dreamland Pet. If you leave the premises and your pet is hurt or becomes ill, we have the right to call or take your pet to Elora Gorge Animal Hospital. If your pet receives treatment, medication or other advisable attention you agree to pay all expenses directly to Elora Gorge Animal Hospital and do not hold Dreamland Pet or any individual providing services liable for any resulting expense. We will not be held responsible for any injury or sickness caused by the pet to itself during the service.
Understanding of Risk: Extra care will be taken when performing any nail trimming procedure; however, the owner must understand possible reactions such as nicks in toe nail quicks may occur. Additionally, problems occasionally arise after the nail trimming visit such as bleeding of nicks and mental or physical stress. This service can also expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This is especially true for aging or special needs pets. The Client agrees not to hold Dreamland Pet or any individual performing services responsible for any injuries, which might result from this process.
Photo and Video Release: The Client consents to the use of pictures, video and/or basic information regarding their pet for the purposes of promotion of Dreamland Pet and related services. Promotional media may include social media, website, video and posters.
Liability and Waiver: The Client assumes the risk of any damage, injury or death incurred to any person, minor, animal or property as a result of their pet’s participation in services conducted by or on behalf of Dreamland Pet and its representatives. Dreamland Pet and its staff will not be held liable for damage caused by any third party, natural occurrence, faulty equipment or lack of maintenance
The Client agrees to absolve and hold harmless Dreamland Pet and any other parties associated with any service provided.
