Oscar Meier
Meet Oscar Meier, owner and operator of Dreamland Pet & Equine since 2009. After many years working for other pet product companies both in retail and wholesale, Oscar thought it was time to create Dreamland as a culmination of his three main passions.
The first is a love of animals big and small. Growing up on a dairy farm in Western Ontario exposed Oscar to an abundance of four-legged creatures. Although dairy cows are production animals, on his farm they all had unique names and personalities he knew well.
Taught at an early age that the best possible nutrition would keep cows healthy and productive longer, he carried over that life lesson to the lives of his companion animals.
His second passion is for creating things out of wood. The look of a finished piece of oak, the small of freshly cut pine, how it can be shaped and sanded into a harvest table or used to support a structure, all create a wonderful image.
Due to that passion, Dreamland was fashioned to emulate the interior of an old-style bank barn with beams, concrete floors and plank walls.
The last passion that Oscar is able to fulfill with Dreamland is to provide a retail environment that is both organized and pleasant to shop in.

If you’re tired of the strenuous mess that comes from washing your dog, we’re proud to offer a convenient self-groom dog wash.
Need a pet product delivered to your door? Simply give us a call, we’re proud to offer in-town home delivery throughout Elora and Fergus!
Have a piece of equipment in good condition you no longer have use for? Bring in your used or unwanted tack or riding wear in saleable condition and we will display it for you!
Self-Serve Dog Wash
Our self-groom dog wash station provides all you need – shampoo, towels, dryer, brushes – and we clean up the mess. You can drop in, but we highly recommend calling ahead, especially in mud season! Half hour sessions cost only $7.50.
Dog Social Club
A chance for friendly dogs and the people who love them to share time together and play. Sessions are setup for small, medium and large dogs. One-hour sessions are $7.00 a visit or $30.00 for five sessions.
Obedience Training
